Primary Pathway 3

Throughout this pathway children will continue to build upon the six key areas by developing their understanding of themselves and others.

Self-awareness- here we will now focus more on collaboration and how we can get along with others and resolve conflicts when friendships go wrong.

Self-care, Safety and Support- here children will look at how to keep themselves and others safe and there is a focus on online safety for children in this pathway.

Managing Feelings- here children will focus on looking at how to deal with and develop coping skills for more complex and difficult emotions.

Changing and Growing- here children will study puberty and relationships in line with the new statutory guidelines.

Healthy Lifestyles- here children will look at how they can take responsibility for keeping well.

The World I Live In- here children will explore rules and choices as well as developing an awareness of how we can all look after the environment.

Throughout Primary Pathway 3 children will be encouraged to reflect of their own perceptions and experiences. Children will be given lots of opportunities to develop their understanding, language, communication skills and strategies required to exercise personal autonomy wherever possible.
