Update on current school offer following Government Guidance

Dear Parent/Carer As the cases of Covid-19 continue to rise to a point where they are higher than they have ever been, it is important that we keep all pupils and staff safe whilst we are in Tier 5 National Lockdown. Until we have updated special school guidance, we are following the Government guidance that was published on 4th January 2021 which states that schools need to run the way that they did in March to May 2020. Those who were issued with shielding advice at that time need to shield again now. Guided by this The Trusts decision is that the school will only be open to the following pupils: • The children of critical workers • Children on child protection plans • Looked after children • Individual cases based on need We will be contacting these parents/carers directly with their child’s allocated days and we will liaise with the transport team. We will continue to review the further opening of school in line with government guidelines and will then make any necessary changes to the way that the school is currently operating. We will keep you informed of any updates as they occur. For those pupils who remain at home, home learning packs and free school meals (for those who are entitled) will be delivered on a weekly basis. The class lead will be in contact to discuss the remote learning with you. Thank you for your continued support Mr May
