Primary Pathway 3

Primary Pathway 3 sees the pupils experiencing an even wider range of Musical genres, as they begin to listen to a different piece of music or song each week to begin their lesson.  They will begin to learn how to recognise sounds (vocals and instruments), and be introduced to ways of describing music.  There is a fantastic variety of music to listen to within the scheme, ranging from Old School Hip Hop (Fresh Prince of Bel Air and De La Soul) and Reggae (Aswad and UB40) to Music with a South African sound (Paul Simon and a Gospel Choir) and Latin Music (Michael Buble and Gramophonedzie).  In Performing, they will get the chance to use a wider variety of tuned percussion where they will experience playing specific notes to join in with songs and their composing opportunities will widen as they move through the units.
