Curriculum Statement:

Our aim at Watermill is to help our pupils develop knowledge about the world and their locality. We anticipate that our pupils to acquire subject-specific vocabulary relating to human and physical geography and begin to use geographical skills, including first-hand observation, to enhance their locational awareness.

Our new curriculum provides children the opportunity to learn skills through different pathways to ensure that they only repeat units which they are meant to (e.g. primary pathway 1 is a 2 year rolling programme as it is designed that children stay in this pathway for 2 years whereas children in Primary Pathway 2 is a 4 year rolling programme. Children working within the EYFS, Sensory and Communication pathways will be learning geography skills within their specific pathway.
